The Game 1 jersey from the 1998 NBA Finals worn by Michael Jordan fetched a staggering $10 million at auction on Wednesday.

Experts at Sotheby's, who hosted the auction, initially believed the jersey would go for $3 million, at most. The jersey set several records with its $10,091,000 price tag, including the most ever for a basketball jersey at auction, most ever for any game-worn sports memorabilia, and most ever paid for an MJ item.

Interestingly enough, Jordan and the Bulls lost Game 1 in the '98 Finals despite his 33 point effort. The Bulls would go onto win the series in six games securing the GOAT his sixth NBA championship.
