Funk Flex caused an uproar in 2017 when he blamed 2Pac for The Notorious B.I.G.'s death. According to the legendary DJ, 2Pac lying about the true culprits of his infamous 1994 robbery at Quad Studios led to the East Coast-West Coast feud and the death of Biggie Smalls.

"People always say why I said it 20 years later. I said it when the f***ing s*** was going on. And Biggie wouldn't have f***ing died if that n**** hadn't have lied. He lied, and y'all n***** fucking worship him," Flex tearfully said during his live stream.

Many rappers and Hip Hop fans called out Funk Flex over his remarks, but it seems even newcomers still have an issue with the DJ's five-year-old comments. In a new Hot 97 freestyle, Symba sat in front of Flex and expressed his issues with the live stream during his verse.

"Flex, it's an honor to meet you, but let's be clear / I've done had a bone to pick with yo a** for four years," Symba started off over Wu-Tang Clan's "C.R.E.A.M." beat. "You've been a big part of this culture my whole life / So what I'm ’bout to say almost don't feel right / You say some wild s***, most times you actually right / But all that disrespecting Tupac s*** stops tonight / As a West Coast n****, ‘Pac gave all of us pride / That's why when you said what you said we was surprised / How you wait 20-something years after he died / To come on this motherf***a and keep screaming, 'He lied!' / And he ain't alive to tell his side / But I ain't mad at you ’cause you was speaking your mind / To keep it real, you said what's on half of these n*****' minds / Just the next time you say it don't sound like you ’bout to cry."

Despite being called out by his guest, Funk Flex took the bars in jest and laughed as Symba addressed him. He also added that he wouldn't speak about 2Pac anymore and gave Symba his props, even bragging to Sway that he has the best Symba freestyle.
