Multiple reports confirm that music artist PNB Rock has passed away after a fatal robbery that occurred at a Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles restaurant in Los Angeles Monday afternoon.
LAPD Captain Kelly Muniz confirmed that the shooting took place at 1:15pm PT. at the Roscoe's establishment on Main Street and Manchester Avenue. The incident reportedly took place after Rock's girlfriend shared a since-deleted, location-tagged Instagram post of the couple's dining experience.
Captain Muniz added that Rock (real name Rakim Allen) was targeted for his jewelry by the robbery suspect, who reportedly brandished his gun inside the restaurant before fatally shooting the Philadelphia rapper.
"He shot the victim and ran out the side door to a getaway car and then fled the parking lot," she said.
Following the shooting, PNB Rock was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:59pm PT. Investigators are currently reviewing security footage from inside the restaurant, as well as the surrounding business, in order to identify any possible suspects.
PNB Rock was 30 years old at the time of his passing.

Philadelphia rapper and singer PNB Rock was reportedly a victim of a violent robbery in Los Angeles on Monday, Sept. 12.
The robbery reportedly took place at a Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles establishment. While details of the violent incident are scarce, video footage of the aftermath started circulating online. While the video is graphic, it shows the music artist lying facedown in blood as multiple people attempt to assist him.
"S*** crazy robbery turned badly in front us," read the caption to the video, which also claimed the location was in the South Central area of Los Angeles.
Reporter Doc Louallen also tweeted about the breaking news story and wrote, "Philadelphia rapper PNB Rock was just shot in Los Angeles California. The video on Twitter is too gruesome to post. He has been transported to a nearby hospital. Let’s pray he survives."
PNB Rock's condition is currently unknown. Please stay tuned as more details become available.
