According to reports, longtime music journalist Jim DeRogatis is refusing to testify against R. Kelly in his upcoming trial after claiming a window at his house was shot out.
DeRogatis was subpoenaed to take the stand in the disgraced singer's trial on charges which include coercing minors into sex, and receiving and producing child pornography. However, the shooting has left DeRogatis fearful of what could happen if he actually testifies and has since refused.
Instead, DeRogatis's legal team has asked Judge Harry Leinenweber rule that his testimony isn't necessary. The filing argues that him taking the stand could lead to “harassment or intimidation,” noting that the information DeRogatis has could be accessed by other means to be worked into evidence.
