Update 08/30/2022 11:37am:

The Chicago trial for R. Kelly has been continuing, and now an update from the trial has surfaced. According to reports, two accusers of the singer allege that Kelly videotaped them having sex as minors.

One witness testified on August 29 under the name “Pauline” and said she was best friends with the goddaughter of Kelly—“Jane.” 37-year-old Pauline went on to say when she was 14, she went looking for Jane around Kelly’s house, where she found her friend “naked, kneeling in front of Kelly.”

Pauline continued, “He told me he was just looking for bruises on her, because she hurt herself. I told him that ‘That’s not how you look for bruises’ and he said that’s how he looked for bruises... then he stated that 'We all have secrets.'” The woman says Kelly insisted he hook up with him and his goddaughter, which she claims would become a regular thing. It was pointed out that Kelly had a relationship with the woman into adulthood, and the woman described her time with him as “best friend meets boyfriend meets dad.”

It was reported that R. Kelly’s alleged 2008 victim is set to testify in court against the disgraced singer. Now, it appears Kelly has made moves to work things in his favor for his 2nd federal trial in Chicago, which is beginning.

Legal documents found Kelly’s team asking that jurors who saw any part of the ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ docuseries be disqualified from their duties. The document said, “any potential juror who has watched any portion of this docuseries must be disqualified for cause on whether they can be fair, too great a risk exists that such a juror would base their verdict on matters not introduced into evidence in the courtroom.”

The document continued, "Any potential juror who has seen any portion of Surviving R. Kelly is prejudiced where there's no scenario which an individual exposed to the contents of Surviving R. Kelly can be impartial.” The singer’s team claims episodes from the docuseries speak on the 2008 prosecution, where he was acquitted. They also claim the series features allegations the government won’t feature in the trial. Currently, Kelly is facing child pornography charges and obstruction of justice.
