According to reports, rapper Lil Jay is expected to be paroled after being arrested earlier this summer on gun charges. Lil Jay's recent arrest came almost immediately after his release from prison in April. His inmate profile shows that the Chicago native is expected to be paroled on May 26, 2023 with an official discharge date projected for May 29, 2023.

Chicago rapper King Lil Jay was recently arrested on gun charges just after being released from jail in April. 

He was initially arrested on January 7th, 2015, and charged with irresponsible firearm discharge, over an alleged botched drug deal. Per a report from AllHipHop, Filmon Rezene, Lil Jay, and several associates were involved in a shootout, which resulted in Rezene's death. The alleged drug dealer claimed self-defense, and Lil Jay was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and intent to kill and injure. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison in July of 2019.

After serving seven years, Lil Jay was released in April of this year. While he was on probation, Lil Jay caught his recent gun charge. Details surrounding the charges remain unclear, but we'll be sure to update you as more information is available.

Months ago, rapper King Lil Jay was released from jail following a murder conviction years prior. The rapper was arrested in 2015 and charged with irresponsible firearm discharge. Jay’s bail was $400,000 at the time. In 2019, Jay was sentenced to 12 years in jail. Now, the Chicago rapper has been arrested once again, this time on firearms charges. 

King Lil Jay is currently on parole hold and is set to stay locked up until his bond hearing. Stay tuned for more updates.
