Harrowing video coming out of Ohio shows the moment a 22-year-old man was fatally shot by his ex-girlfriend's father during an attempted break-in.

The Ring video shows James Rayl trying to force his way into the home of his ex-girlfriend after being told he wasn't welcome. Rayl, however, continued to try to make his way into the home when Mitch Duckro, his ex's father, warned him that he was armed.

When Rayl managed to force the door open, Duckro opened fire on the 22-year-old. Rayl was struck twice before collapsing in the driveway. According to the New York Post, " a Shelby County grand jury voted 8-1 against indicting Duckro on charges related to Rayl’s killing, citing the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law, which says that a homeowner does not have a legal duty to retreat from their home before firing a gun."

Rayl's family is incensed behind Duckro not facing prosecution. “Mitch shot him in the back and killed him,” Rayl’s sister Jessica Colbert wrote in a recent Facebook post. “I hope your days are more miserable than they’ve ever been. You’re a disgusting excuse of a human being along with your daughter.”
