According to reports, an 85-year-old Florida man was arrested for attempting to buy an 8-year-old girl from her mother outside of a local Walmart.
Hellmuth Kolb was arrested on Thursday for the incident (which was also in violation of his probation) after he reportedly told the mother how pretty the little girl was while inside the store and followed them outside where he made his $100,000 offer to purchase the child.
The elderly man was arrested for a similar incident in 2018 when he grabbed another 8-year-old girl who was sitting with her mother, kissed her wrist, then offered $200,000 for her.
Kolb was charged with simple battery and false imprisonment and later sentenced to five years probation.
