According to reports, Fish Scales is recuperating at a hospital in Atalanta following an incident where he was kidnapped, robbed, and shot outside of the eatery that he co-owns in Castleberry Hill called Atlantucky Brewing. The occurrence took place on Wednesday night when assailants snatched the southern rapper up near his business establishment before forcing him into his car and driving him to the city of Hapeville. Initially, the robbers wanted Fish Scales to give them money from Atlantucky Brewing, but there was no cash on site. Fish Scale was reportedly shot during the kidnapping attempt and again after he successfully pulled off an escape attempt.
In the wake of the near-death incident, Skinny Deville, the co-owner of Atlantucky Brewing, updated the public on the status of his business partner.
“We would appreciate it if the public would allow us some privacy over the next week while we re-evaluate the situation, as this is an ongoing investigation,” DeVille says in a statement. “I assure you that we will share the outcomes as the police department allows. But know for now that Scales is safe and recovering.”
Fish Scale's bandmates also release a statement, regarding the matter, on their official Instagram page.
"Last night our brother, Scales, was a victim of an attempted robbery on the evening of August 17th in Atlanta after closing our brewery, Atlantucky. We are blessed to say that he is stable and in good spirits after suffering a leg injury. Luckily, none of our dedicated patrons of Atlantucky were at the scene or harmed during the robbery. We are so thankful our brother is safe and on the road to recovery. We would appreciate some privacy as we are trusting the Atlanta Police Dept in the ongoing investigation. Scales also mentioned he is looking forward to getting back to work both on music and brewery."
