Adrien Broner was scheduled to fight Omar Figueroa Jr. but pulled out of the bout due to mental health struggles. The boxer noted he wasn’t about “playing” with his boxing career. Figueroa called out Broner afterward, saying “this MF wants to use mental health as a FKN excuse.” Now, Gervonta Davis has chimed in with his thoughts, offering choice words about Broner’s decision. 

In a now-deleted tweet, Davis said “Boxers gotta stop using ‘mental health’ s**t to get out of stuff… yo a** just a b***h!” Take a look above.

Adrien Broner was set to fight Omar Figueroa Jr. on August 20 at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL., but on Monday (August 15), Broner announced that he was pulling out of the fight. 

The 4-weight class world champ stated, "Sorry to all my fans but #MentalHealth is real and I’m not about to play inside the ring [.] I’ve watched a lot of people die playing with they boxing career and that is something I won’t do [.] just pray for me [.]" 

Broner continued by telling fans, " I feel Like I came up short before because my mind wasn’t 100% there and I be dam if I make that mistake again I need to make some changes for the better instead of worrying about other people feelings and pleasing them when In all reality I have nothing to prove to nobody."
