Yue Yu, 45, a dermatologist in Mission Viejo, California was arrested on Thursday (August 4) after her husband allegedly videotaped her poisoning him.

Lt. Bill Bingham explained to the New York Post, "His condition became increasingly worse and based on the husband examining his routine and looking at what could be causing it, he grew suspicious of his wife and put a hidden camera in place that captured her poisoning him."

The couple had been married for ten years, and the unnamed husband reportedly "sustained significant internal injuries" from the poisoning, although he is expected to recover. Lt. Bingham added, "We do believe this is a domestic-related incident. There’s nothing that we discovered that could cause concern for patients that [Yu] treated."

Yu hasn't been formally charged, but she was released on $30,000 bond on Friday. Yu's husband also filed for an emergency restraining order, and a court date has been set for August 18. In addition, Yu's husband filed for divorce, where he is seeking full custody of their children, aged 7 and 8.
