Last week, DEA agents in the Bronx engaged in a wild chase on Crotona Avenue that resulted in the pursuit of six individuals as they made the daring climb up a fire escape atop an apartment building. Eventually, the feds trapped the suspects on the roof before arresting them on a litany of drug-related charges. This drug bust concluded law enforcement's investigation into a drug house that was located within close proximity to the Bronx Zoo.
The most notable aspect of this incident was the discovery that law enforcement made once the suspects were cuffed and taken into custody. Upon entering the infamous apartment where the drugs were reportedly housed, the feds confirmed their suspicions when they recovered a suitcase containing 300,000 glassine envelopes full of fentanyl and heroin, along with numerous labels that said "Netflix," "DoorDash," and "Yeezy." With an estimated weight of around 55 pounds, the drugs are said to be worth approximately $5 million on the streets.
In the aftermath of the drug bust, narcotics prosecutors have revealed that Alexis Rosario Sabrino (29), Darwin Taveras Santos (30), Randy Ledesma (27), Dayson Taveras (23), Jose Mora (52), and Miguel Then Serverino (42) all face charges for criminally using drug paraphernalia and criminal drug possession.
