Three months ago, former pop-princess Britney Spears posted a series of nude photos of herself on Instagram with the following caption, "Don’t underestimate the power of doing it myself and shooting with a selfie stick!!!” The Six-time VMA award winner undoubtedly felt revitalized, having just been granted freedom from her conservatorship five months prior, but the celebratory posts didn't just leave a lasting impact on her followers, they also affected the lives of her two teenage boys.

According to Spears' ex-husband, Kevin Federline, their two adolescent kids, Sean (16) and Jayden (15), were drastically disheartened when the nude images of their mother went viral and have decided to sever ties with her, for the time being, and they have his full support.

“The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding," Federline said. "This whole thing has been hard to watch, harder to live through, harder to watch my boys go through than anything else...It’s been tough...It’s the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do in my life."

Spears responded to Federline's comments on Saturday with an emotional Instagram story.

“It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children ...” the Lousiana native wrote. “As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone .. It concerns me the fact that the reason is based on my Instagram ... it was LONG before Instagram ... I gave them everything. Only one word: HURTFUL ... l’Il say it ... My mother told me 'You should GIVE them to their dad.' I’m sharing this because I can. Have a good day folks!!!"

Federline currently has full custody of the former couple's two children, while Spears has been granted visitation rights. For more on this story, click the link below.
