Recently, it was revealed that former NBA player Metta World Peace is planning a new investment fund for his Artest Management Group. It was noted the fund is looking to amass 1 billion dollars. 

According to an anonymous person with information related to the fund, the fundraising hasn’t started yet, and the target size could change. The fund would invest in professional teams, real estate, and sports. Along with that, real estate, blockchain technology, sports, and health startups would be invested in. The investment could be used to make a significant investment in a professional basketball arena in Las Vegas. 

Artest reportedly plans to work on the fund with Boost Mobile Chief Executive Officer Stephen Stokols, Houlihan Lokey Inc. co-founder Jim Zukin, Cyrus Capital Partners co-founder Jerry Bias, and others. Stay tuned for more updates.
