Previously, President Joe Biden revealed he tested positive for COVID-19 and was isolated for five days. From there, Biden tested negative. Now, the president has taken to Twitter today (July 30) to say he’s tested positive for COVID-19 again.
Biden said, “Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again. This happens with a small minority of folks. I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me. I’m still at work and will be back on the road soon.”
White House physician Kevin O’Connor said Biden’s current condition is a “rebound” effect that happens with a small percentage of people who get COVID-19 and are treated with PAXLOVID. O’Connor said, “The President has experienced no reemergence of symptoms and continues to feel quite well.”
