Gucci Mane recently put out a song called “Dissin’ The Dead,” which looks to shift the rap world’s obsession with dissing dead people.
In the song, the rapper takes the blame for the trend of people naming dead folks in their raps. The song's chorus found Gucci Mane saying, “I know I should be more careful with the s**t that I said/I feel like I started a trend, they never gon' stop/They gon' keep dissin' the dead.” Guwop’s song is a change of pace from where he previously stood, as the rapper dissed the dead homie of Jeezy during their Verzuz battle.
News of this comes after the loss of rapper JayDaYoungan, who was reportedly shot in his hometown.
