A mom-of-12 who has been pregnant for 16 consecutive years who became a viral fascination for many opened up about what it's like not expecting for the first time in nearly two decades.
“I would’ve loved to have has one more!” said Iris Purnell, 38, who was pregnant every year between 2004 and 2019. Purnell, who now has her tubes tied, talked glowingly about carrying her children. “Not all my pregnancies were easy,” Iris explained. “I had six C-sections… but being pregnant gave me a spiritual elevation. I learned to be patient and to sit still with my body.”
Iris, who is a choreographer, met her husband Cordell back in 2005. At the time the two met they both had six-month-old sons, Iris was mom to Malikhai and Cordell had Junior. After the couple married, they had 10 children together - Jahni, 15, Trinity, 13, Messiah, 11, JoJo, 10, Love, 9, Seven, 8, Michael, 6, Royal, 5, Heavenly, 4 and Hope, 3.
