A police officer in Tennessee is on administrative leave after video of what is being described as an "animalistic" arrest went viral.
The encounter occurred when Brandon Calloway allegedly “failed to stop at a stop sign” in the Oakland, Tennessee area earlier this month. The violent arrest occurred at Calloway's father's home which is an hour away from his residence in Chattanooga, TN.
“Brandon was assaulted in a brutal fashion. I describe it as animalistic,” said attorney Andre Wharton who is representing the Calloway family. Calloway's father told reporters that his son is experiencing memory loss and psychological trauma as a result of the beating.
