Four suspects have been arrested in connection with at least 15 home invasions in Sandy Springs and metro Atlanta, including a home belonging to Future's baby mama, Gunna, and "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Marlo Hampton.
The suspects were arrested on Sunday (July 16) after police staked out a townhouse belonging to Future's baby mama, as they believed that she was the next target of the robbers. Investigators believe that the suspects are alleged gang members who have been targeting homes of celebrities over the past year. They began looking into the group following a robbery on Oct. 1, 2021, in Atlanta, where seven suspects were arrested.
Other celebrities targeted include Gunna and players from the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlanta United soccer team, and a prominent lacrosse player. Marlo Hampton's home was also targeted on July 1, which she addressed while speaking to WSB-TV.
Hampton explained that she heard a loud boom and her nephew screaming, which startled her. She stated, "When I heard the boom, when I heard my nephew scream…and I knew that scream was a scream of fear, my heart dropped."
The home invasion was thwarted after Hampton called 911 and police arrived. She shared a word of warning to people flexing online, stating, "I just thank God and we’re covered in the blood of Jesus and I’m here to share this story with you. But my main concern is, I want all the ladies…I want everyone to be aware if you are posting, if you do have luxury items, be careful."
