As trade talks surrounding Kyrie Irving die down, it is becoming apparent to the Lakers brass that they will enter this coming season with the same "Big 3" intact that couldn't get them to the play-in tournament last season.

However, after a conversation between LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook, it appears that the Big 3 will look to make the best out of a bad situation. NBA insider and Yahoo Sports reporter Chris Haynes said the conversation included "each expressing their commitment to one another and vowing to make it work."

Haynes added that "the uncertainty of Westbrook’s future with the Lakers remains," but the phone call "was organized to make sure all three were on the same page as long as they’re joined together in their pursuit of a championship."
