Since gaining massive success in the music industry, Drake has always made it a point to put on other artists, most benefitting from what many called the “Drake Stimulus.” Now, Drake has taken the time to reflect on an artist who was a part of his success—The Weeknd and noted he predicted the singer’s success. 

Drake showed off the first place he heard The Weeknd’s music, in front of his old building in Toronto. From there, he shouted out Oliver El-Khatib, who he says put him on to the singer’s music. According to Drake, he listened to The Weeknd’s music for the first time in front of his building in a car while it was pouring rain. The rapper gave The Weeknd a shoutout ahead of his hometown show which is taking place at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on Friday night. Take a look above.
