On Wednesday, anime/manga fans from all over the world lost one of their most beloved curators when Kazuki Takahashi died from a snorkeling incident about 1,000 feet away from the coast of Okinawa Prefecture. The 60-year-old is widely known for having created the  "Yu-Gi-Oh!" manga and trading card game back in 1996 (the cards debuted in the U.S. in 2002). His body was discovered floating in the water, off the coast, by a few tourists, who immediately informed the Japanese Coast Guards. Upon further review, their investigation determined that an abandoned car in a nearby beach area belonged to the legendary manga artist. The news broke on Thursday, shortly after Takahashi's family confirmed the identity of his body. As of now, authorities are still trying to ascertain the exact cause of his passing.
