Reports have circulated noting that Ludacris's manager Chaka Zulu fired back at least one shot during the fatal incident on Sunday. Police say Chaka Zulu was seen firing a shot back at his assailant sustaining a gunshot wound himself. 

Per TMZ: 

in the video, Chaka and the other man start exchanging words, but things escalate, and the conversation becomes visually more intense ... all while the other man allegedly keeps his hand on and around his waistband. [...] One guy in the group makes his way between 2 vehicles, produces a gun, and fires at least 2 shots. Our sources say Chaka, who was also armed, can then be seen getting back on his feet and firing at least one shot in return.

Sources say Chaka Zulu was shot at least once and the bullet entered near his heart. He remains in critical condition following the incident.

According to reports, Ludacris' long-time manager and Disturbing The Peace president--Chaka Zulu, was shot while in Atlanta.

Chaka Zulu was one of three people shot in a parking lot on Peachtree Road in Atlanta this past Sunday night around 11:35 PM. The Atlanta Police Department says the shooting went down outside a restaurant called Apt4b and was sparked by an argument. One person died due to the shooting, while another victim and Chaka were taken to a local hospital. The gunman is reportedly still at large. 

While speaking about the incident, Lt. Germaine Dearlove said, “We have three persons shot at the location. One deceased and two are in hospitals as a result of a dispute in the parking lot.” Chaka Zulu and the other person who was shot are expected to recover from the injuries sustained.
