Update 06/26/2022 4:28pm:

Previously, the ex-lover of Jeffrey Epstein—Ghislaine Maxwell, was found guilty of aiding Epstein in the sexual abuse of underage girls. Maxwell was charged with five out of six counts she was hit with, as she was accused of grooming minors for the late disgraced billionaire

Now, news surfaced noting two days ahead of her sentencing, the woman was put on suicide watch. Reports say she hasn’t been suicidal but was put on watch. As a result, the 60-year-old’s lawyer Bobbi Sternheim has requested that the court date be pushed back. Maxwell’s court date was set for Tuesday in a Manhattan federal court.

A hearing will be conducted tomorrow where the lawyer will prove Ghislaine was taken from the general population “without having conducted a psychological evaluation and without justification.” Currently, federal prosecutors requested that Maxwell get 30 to 55 years in prison, while her lawyer is pushing for 4-5 years. Original 12/29/2021 10:18pm:

A jury has found Ghislaine Maxwell guilty on five charges directly related to the 2019 sex-trafficking case of her ex-boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein. The British socialite is facing up to 65 years in prison for recruiting four teenage girls for Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse. The aforementioned crimes took place between 1994 and 2004.

Ghislaine Maxwell's defense team argued that she was simply being blamed for the lewd actions of Jeffrey Epstein, the former financial broker who was murdered in prison back in 2019. Because of his passing, there was speculation that there might be enough holes in the prosecution's argument for Ghislaine Maxwell to evade a harsh punishment. But that was not the case as the unanimous ruling was made today.

Before the announcement, Ghislaine Maxwell was dubbed as the Partner in crime" by Allison Moe. The Assistant U.S. Attorney who stated the following.

"Ghislaine Maxwell made her own choices. She committed crimes hand in hand with Jeffrey Epstein. She was a grown woman who knew exactly what she was doing."

Today marks the conclusion of one of the most high-profile court rulings from the #metoo movement. An awareness campaign that saw the arrests of other celebrities such as R. Kelly and Larry Nassar.
