U.S. Representative Mary Miller of Illinois recently spoke at a rally with former President Donald Trump. During her speech, she talked about the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the landmark Roe V. Wade decision, saying it was a “victory for white life.”

The viral clip has sparked much backlash, as many states are individually dealing with the next steps regarding abortion rights. Miller said, “President Trump, on behalf of all the MAGA patriots in America, I want to thank you for the historic victory for white life in the Supreme Court yesterday.”

A spokesperson for Miller went on to say she intended to say “right to life.” The spokesperson continued, “You can clearly see in the video ... she’s looking at her papers and looking at her speech.” They then referred to her statement as a “mix-up of words.” Watch above.
