Update 06/24/2022 9:48pm:
TMZ caught up with Black Ink's Ceasar Emanuel to discuss the dog abuse video that saw him lose his gig with VH1. He claims that he was setup because the video everyone has seen was taken out of context. According to Ceasar, he was breaking up a fight between dogs before one of the dog in the video tried attacking him.
Ceasar said he "wishes he could take [his actions] back," although in the moment, "he felt like he had to back down his dogs any way he could," adding that he felt "afraid of what would happen next." Ultimately, Ceasar "thinks someone had it out for him since the video was leaked online."
He said the dogs are fine and have been enrolled in obedience training.

VH1 announced its plans to cut ties with Ceasar Emanuel of Black Ink after video surfaced of the famed tattoo artist abusing a dog.
The footage of Ceasar abusing the dog drew the ire of many including Black Ink employee Donna Lombardi who wrote a scathing diatribe about him on IG.
Per Lombardi:
"If you can treat a dog like this, it shows how sick of a person you truly are. I don’t even get into the life of this man, but this video made me so upset. Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE animals. Especially dogs.
"Even after he beat his daughter up, @vh1 @viacom_intl & the new @blackinkcrew producers tried to protect Ceaser, even made up fake conflicting storylines about my relationship to do it! Now this, cannot be undone. I pray the people see you, @ceaserblackink , as the monster you are. Your karma has been adding up for years, but to do this to two innocent dogs!?! This is crazy. CHARGES NEED TO BE PRESSED, and CANCELLATIONS NEED TO BE MADE!"
Following the chatter around the viral video, VH1 issued the following statement on Thursday:
"We have made the decision to cut ties with Ceaser Emanuel from Black Ink Crew New York. Since next season was close to finishing production, this decision will not impact the upcoming season."
