According to studies, the city of Philadelphia boasts the fifth-highest rate of killings by gunfire in the United States of America. This year alone more than 1,000 people have become victims of gun violence in the "City of Brotherly Love." Perhaps one of the most shocking instances of this growing citywide pattern occurred recently when an unidentified woman who appeared to be in her 40s or 50s gunned down an unidentified man in the Kensington neighborhood of North Philadelphia. Surveillance cameras overlooking the incident depict the assailant walking across the street before she approaches a man standing on the corner. After a brief exchange of words, she shoots him from point black range with a handgun before casually walking off into the night. At the time, she was wearing a red, white, and blue striped jacket over a tan dress. The assailant was last seen in a silver dodge magnum and she is still at large. In the meantime, the Philadelphia Police Department is still trying to gather enough information on her whereabouts in order to make an arrest.
