Tory Lanez headed to Houston to film the video for his "City Boy Summer," which features a cameo from J. Prince Jr. Tory shared a clip from the video along with the caption, "This whole video was shot in HOUSTON TX 🌎 …. S/O the real lemon pepper stepper @jprincejr πŸ‹πŸŒΆπŸ₯Ύand all the other ratchet s### we had going on."

Some people felt that Tory was taunting Megan Thee Stallion by choosing Houston as the location for the video, as it is her hometown. Others pointed out that Megan has a hit song called "Hot Girl Summer," and they believe that Tory's song is taking a dig at Megan.

This comes as Tory vehemently denied shooting Megan Thee Stallion on July 12, 2020, although he is facing counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle for the incident.

Megan addressed Tory in her cover story for Rolling Stone, where she stated, "I want him to go to jail. I want him to go under the jail." Megan also spoke about feeling like she was made to be the villain in the situation, as she stated, "In some kind of way I became the villain. And I don’t know if people don’t take it seriously because I seem strong. I wonder if it’s because of the way I look. Is it because I’m not light enough? Is it that I’m not white enough? Am I not the shape? The height? Because I’m not petite? Do I not seem like I’m worth being treated like a woman?"

The next court date in the Tory Lanez shooting case is scheduled for July 28. His trial is expected to begin in September.
