TMZ reports that Elon Musk's 18-year-old transgender daughter no longer wants to be "related to" the billionaire and has filed for a name change.
The paperwork was filed by Xavier Musk, her birth name, in favor for their new name Vivian Jenna Wilson. It's important to note, the name change wasn't solely due to the transition. On that contrary, the change was filed due to "Gender Identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form."
While much isn't known about the nature of Musk's relationship with his daughter, he tweeted last year his support for trans rights with a caveat.
"I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare," he wrote. "Pronouns suck."
