The family of Nipsey Hussle has been upholding the late rapper’s legacy, with news surfacing noting the family was set to build a new Marathon Store. Since then, a mini-documentary dropped highlighting Hussle’s cannabis business. Now, it appears the family has opened a new cannabis shop called The Marathon Collective.

Nipsey’s brother Blacc Sam spoke to CBS News and gave more information about the new endeavor. Sam went on to say, “Marijuana, a lot of times people were going to jail. Once it started legitimizing, it was a goal… We got to get into this legitimately.” Sam Asghedom went on to say Nipsey “looked at it like alcohol during Prohibition. This is something that Hussle wanted — that we wanted. I’m just happy to be able to open it up.”

Blacc Sam briefly discussed his family’s decision to pass on attending the trial of Eric Holder, the alleged killer of Nipsey Hussle. Sam said, “I will say that I got somebody there on our end. A lawyer just kind of sending me the feedback so I can stay on top of what’s happening day-to-day. My mother and grandmother will ask me questions, so I’ll give them the feedback.”
