Back in 2017, Funk Flex hopped on social media with a video, where he stated that 2Pac lied about Biggie setting him up at Quad Studios in 1994. The shooting kicked off the East Coast vs West Coast war that many believe attributed to the deaths of both rappers.
During an interview with The Art of Dialogue, West Coast rapper Spice 1 addressed Funk Flex speaking on the situation well after both rappers died. Spice 1 explained, "Even when Funkmaster Flex said that sh*t about ‘Pac, I had to smash on him. I looked up to Funkmaster Flex and I didn’t want to do that, but n***a, you talkin’ about my muthaf**kin’ homeboy. Shut the f**k up. Leave that sh*t alone. Both of them is in the grave — they gone! Let that sh*t go. You bringing up old sh*t. You about tp open Pandora’s Box and start a fire and sh*t […] you throwin’ grease on the fire. Shut the f**k up."
