A man was arrested in Paris after smearing cake on the famed Mona Lisa painting at the Louvre Museum. The man was disguised as an old lady and threw cake and smeared it on the Leonardo da Vinci piece before rambling about the responsibilty of artists.
"Think of the Earth. There are people who are destroying the Earth. Think about it. Artists tell you, think of the Earth. That's why I did this," he exclaimed.
Luckily, the painting is encased in glass so staffers at the Louvre were able to clean up the situation fairly quickly. The man was arrested and taken to a psychiatric care facility where he will undergo further evaluation.
