Kewon Dontrell White, 23, the man accused of killing Dallas rapper Mo3, pleaded guilty this week to a felony charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. This is for a separate incident that occurred on Aug. 16, 2020.

According to The Dallas Morning News, police found a 9 mm pistol in White’s pocket after pulling him over on a traffic violation. White then tried to flee on a dirtbike and later on foot, but he was ultimately arrested and charged.

A few months later on Nov. 11, 2020, White is accused of gunning down Mo3 on Interstate 35E near the Dallas Zoo. White was arrested three years later after witnesses identified him as the gunman. Both White and Devin Maurice Brown were indicted last year on murder charges. In addition, White was indicted on a charge of aggravated assault.

White is now facing up to 10 years and a fine of up to $250,000 on the firearms possession charge. A trial date has yet to be set for the murder trial. White is facing life in prison with the possibility of parole in the murder case.
