French Montana has been relatively quiet with the music, but is back in headlines after he reportedly lost a lawsuit related to his dog biting his former pool guy.
French Montana was sued by a man named Juan Lomeli, a pool cleaner. Lomeli sued Montana for damages after claiming he was bit by the rapper’s German shepherd in 2018. The pool cleaner says Zane, French’s dog, attacked while he was working, with the dog jumping on him and biting him hard. Lomeli was injured as a result.
Brad Wallace, the attorney for the cleaner, says the injuries Lomeli suffered were so bad that he had to miss a bunch of work, resulting in him losing a large amount of money. A California jury ruled that French had to pay Lomeli $129,500 in damages. Part of the sum awarded includes $30,000 for future non-economic loss, an additional $39,500 for past economic loss, and $60,000 in non-economic loss and pain. It has been reported that French Montana still owns his dog, Zane. Stay tuned for more updates.
