The Los Angeles Lakers’ season found LeBron James putting up some fantastic numbers while the team struggled with winning games. The team featured numerous star players, including Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, etc. The team could not get it together despite the roster and didn’t make the NBA Playoffs. Now, Jeanie Buss has spoken candidly on the woes faced by the squad this season, calling their season “gut-wrenching.”

Buss talked to the Los Angeles Times and said, “I’m growing impatient just because we had the fourth-highest payroll in the league. … When you spend that kind of money on the luxury tax, you expect to go deep into the playoffs.” Buss spoke about wanting to see an improvement for the next season based on what was spent to get all the players on the roster. “So, yeah, it was gut-wrenching for me to go out on a limb like that and not get the results that we were looking for. … I’m not happy, I’m not satisfied,” Buss continued. Stay tuned for more updates.
