Coi Leray literally grew up during the longstanding feud between her father Benzino and Eminem. Now, it appears as though she's encouraging her embattled father to do the same.

One day after Benzino chastised the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with a series of scathing tweets about bestowing the prestigious honor of Hall of Fame inductee on Eminem over a litany of Black rappers, his daughter attempted to play the role of peacemaker with an indirect message to her dad on Twitter. The "Blick, Blick" rapper praised Eminem for his accomplishments as an emcee and an actor, before making a plea for peace and damage control.

"I’m about love, equality, respect and forgiveness. I have nothing against Eminem, 25 years of my life all I know is he a very talented artist and actor ! (8 Mile was great) Let’s build bridges and get over them before you burn the bridge and burn with it," Leray wrote. "Part of healing is letting the past go."

Only time will tell, if Coi Leray will take her own advice and make amends with her father, just a few weeks after joking that she'd like to "knock him the f*uck" out if she were able to, during an interview with Real 92.3.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame recently revealed their inductees for the class of 2022. Amongst the entire list of award-winning recording artists, producers, and executives, only one rapper was selected this year, Eminem.

Although the Detroit-based emcee has overcome his fair share of racial barriers during the developmental stage of his career, many of his skeptics have been quick to point out the advantages that his skin color has afforded him in the mainstream. Thus, when the major announcement came down the pipeline on Wednesday, his old rival Benzino, couldn't resist the urge to dredge up deep-rooted race-based resentment towards Eminem. Benzino called into question how deserving he was of such a prestigious honor when there are still so many rappers of color who have yet to have been inducted. The 56-year-old aired out his grievances by indicating that Em's nomination was largely based on the color of his skin before mentioning a litany of rappers who exceed his old nemesis in terms of seniority in the rap game. 

“Rock and roll hall of fame is just like the Grammy’s,” he wrote on Twitter. “They have no respect for our culture, Black or Hip Hop and if you don’t agree, you’re racist, period point blank.”

Benzino continued, “So where’s Nas, Eric B and RAKIM, Kool Moe D, Epmd, Fearless Four, Fat Boyz, Lauren Hill, Little Kim, OutKast and 100s other Black rappers?? GTFOH.”
