A 36-year-old man was beaten and stabbed, relentlessly, by an angry group of people near Times Square in New York City this past weekend.

The incident took place when the victim engaged in a verbal dispute with three people, while he was attempting to place an order at a food cart located on Eighth Avenue near West 44th Street. The confrontation escalated when the people who the victim was arguing with summoned a bunch of their associates from nearby. Then, a major beat down ensued.

Video footage captured the assailants punching, kicking, and stabbing the victim. They even threw a garbage can at him for good measure. Upon fleeing the crime scene, the group of assailants made off with the victim's sunglasses and cell phone.

Following the brutal on-camera attack, the victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, where he has been listed as a patient in "stable condition."
