Update 04/25/2022 4:06pm:

Previously, the family of Tyre Sampson, a teen who tragically fell off a ride in Orlando to his death, called out rapper YK Osiris after the rapper claimed he wanted to help out with funeral funds. Now, the family of Sampson has filed a wrongful death lawsuit.

The lawsuit filed by the parents of the young boy is reportedly 65 pages long, and the parents have sued multiple businesses in the process. Nekia Dodd and Yarnell Sampson sued ICON Park along with multiple other parties that owned, operated, or manufactured the ride that caused the death of their son.

Sampson and Dodd’s lawsuit claims there was negligence committed by ICON, manufacturing defendants, and more. The suit also claimed the companies failed to provide the appropriate restraint systems and negligently allowed their son to get on the ride, pointing out there were no height or weight restrictions posted at the ticket counter. The suit also claims there was no adequate assistance provided to the young boy after falling, and there was a failure to perform first aid.

The parents are suing for the loss of earnings of decedent Tyre Sampson, the mental pain and suffering of Nekia Dodd and Yarnell Sampson due to the injury and death of their son, the prospective net accumulations of the Estate of Tyre Sampson, and more. Stay tuned for more updates.

Previously, YK Osiris offered to pay the funeral costs for a teenager named Tyre Sampson, who reportedly fell to his death from a free fall ride at Icon Park in Orlando. The tragic incident was caught on camera and unfortunately spread around the internet. Via social media, the rapper went on to say “If anybody knows his family, tell them to DM me because I want to pay for his funeral cost.” Now, the family of Sampson has called out YK, saying he used the young teen’s name for clout, as he never paid the costs to help the family, despite saying he did.

Tyre’s brother—Jrocc Jr. addressed the matter during a Facebook post, even providing screenshots to prove what YK Osiris didn’t do. “YkOsiri or whatever dude name is canceled. Used lil bro for pure clout,” said Tyre’s brother. He continued saying, “Didn’t pay a dime but told the world otherwise. Even posted a fake screenshot of a GoFundMe donation. Stop pretending you about giving back to the community just to get your sales up. Lame as hell.”

Another Facebook post found Jrocc providing an actual screenshot of donations on the GoFundMe page for his brother while addressing people who wanted to argue about the alleged YK Osiris donation. Jrocc said, “I’m not even gone argue about it. Top donation is $500, as shown. We didn’t ask, [Osiris] volunteered. Stop lying to these people. He used my bro for clout.. thas that. The services were covered, and it was beautiful. That’s all that matters 🙏🏾.” Take a look above.
