In this VladTV exclusive, "Queen of Japanese Hip Hop" Awich sat with Shirley Ju for an interview on her life and career. Awich talked about growing up in Okinawa and transitioning from poetry to Hip Hop as a teen. She listed a wide range of influences, including 2Pac, Lil Jon, Three 6 Mafia, and Soulja Boy. Awich also talked about relocating to Atlanta for college before pursuing her music career. She also opened up about meeting her late husband, who was involved in the streets, and what it was like having a biracial daughter and strict parents.
