Going into next week's NFL draft, the Dallas Cowboys are scheduled to make three picks within the top 100 selections. But for some reason, it's their past draft picks that have been making headlines lately.

A couple of days ago Kelvin Joseph, the team's second-round draft pick from last year, was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that took place back in March. Now it's being reported that a member of the Cowboy's 2015 draft class, Damien Wilson, was recently arrested for threatening to kill girlfriend Ryan Sokolosky with a tire iron.

The incident allegedly happened at Sokolosky's home in Frisco, Texas, where the 28-year-old linebacker lost his temper after Sokolosky informed him that she would like to break up. After a fiery tirade, Wilson is said to have emerged from the bushes with a tire iron in tow before issuing a threat to end his ex-girlfriend's life. Although no major or minor injuries have been reported, the police tacked on a charge of assault with bodily injury of a family member upon the apprehension of Wilson, an accusation that Wilson categorically denies.

"[Damien Wilson] did not commit any type of assault," said Wilson's attorney Toby Shook, "We look forward to all the facts coming out so his name can be cleared."

After Wilson was drafted in the fourth round by the Dallas Cowboys in 2015, he remained with the franchise for three seasons. He spent last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars before signing with the Carolina Panthers as a free agent.

No further details about Wilson's arrest have been made public as of yet. Stay tuned for more information.
