Actor Kaalan Walker, who appeared in the remake of the movie "Superfly," was convicted on Monday (April 18) of raping six people and sexually assaulting another. Walker was acquitted of an additional three charges, including two charges of forcible rape.

Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Wallace spoke with Rolling Stone about the case, and she revealed that Walker "name-dropped Drake and used his connection to Halle Berry" in order to impress women. Wallace added, "We feel that with this verdict, the jury gave these victims back their voices. This was very sophisticated. Once they were there, it wasn’t about doing photo shoots, it was about assaulting them."

Prosecutors said the attacks occurred between 2013 and 2018. Three of the victims were underage. Walker is now facing a maximum sentence of 100 years to life in prison, and he is due back in court on May 27. Throughout the trial, Walker maintained his innocence, as he told the judge as he was being led away from the courtroom in handcuffs, "I didn’t rape anybody, your honor."
