Update 04/13/2022 12:54pm:

Iggy Azalea recently spoke out in light of Playboi Carti praising her as a mother to their son in a recent interview with XXL. During the interview, Carti also claimed that he "takes care" of a lot of people in his life, including Iggy, which she admitted that she "laughed" at "a lot."

Iggy continued to share her thoughts on the situation via Twitter in since-deleted tweets that read, "You’ve been mislead. I don't f**k with a man I'm not even remotely on good terms with claiming he pays my bills. I pay my bills. Secondly saying nice things for an interview sounds great but in real life he talks to me like sh*t so badly I had to stop all direct contact."

Iggy went on to state that Carti's team had already contacted her before the interview was published, as she stated that they knew she'd have a problem with it. She added that she would like to be left out of the conversation than to be mentioned at all. You can read the messages in full above.

Playboi Carti recently sat down with XXL, where he opened up about co-parenting with Iggy Azalea after revealing that they're both now single.

Carti stated, "And Iggy, she’s a great mom. I love her to death. I’m single. She’s single now. But that’s one of the best mothers in the world. And that’s what you got to put in the book, you hear me? I love her to death. She is the best mother in the world."

He then added, "I’m a father. You know what I’m saying? You know how it is having kids. I just got responsibilities," Carti told the outlet. "I pay a lot of bills. I take care of a lot of people. I take care of my mom. I take care of my family. I take care of my baby mom [and] I take care of my son. There’s a lot of people I take care of. So, it’s like, I gotta keep doing it."

Iggy seemingly responded to Carti's claims about footing her bills, writing, "Take care of me? Lmaooooo. Let’s not get carried away now." She also responded to a fan telling her that they were caught off guard by Carti's comments, writing, "I laughed. A lot."
