Police reportedly seized over 80 pounds of meth, 200 bags of fentanyl, over two dozen guns, and $135,000 in cash during a major drug bust in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

According to investigators, it was noted that a drug trafficking organization was offering their supply to the southeastern Pennsylvania area, along with other regions with meth that came from Los Angeles. The investigation started with the arrest of alleged Upper Darby drug dealer Chase Smith, who was caught in March 2021. Police claim 29-year-old Smith allegedly sold over two pounds of meth to an undercover cop in the Lower Merion township.

Smith and several others were arrested for their part in a drug ring that extends to Los Angeles. Another man in the drug ring—28-year-old Ricky Evans of Los Angeles, allegedly shipped drugs via USPS, UPS, and FedEx. As of now, associates of the crew—Tyrone Baker, Shakeem Johnson, Joshua Quiles, Jhamir Winans, and Ricky Evans were charged with over 100 felony counts of corrupt organization, possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy, dealing in the proceeds of unlawful activities, and more.

All of the suspects in the situation have been remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. Baker and Winans’ bail was set at $3 million cash. Quiles and Johnson’s bail were set at $1 million each.
