In this clip, Trevor Jackson talks about being signed to Empire as a recording artist and the dynamics of a close-knit team that features his brother and his mother. The actor/singer talks about his hands-on approach to directing his own music videos and the traits that he looks for in a collaborator. As the conversation continues, the 25-year-old talks about his company Born Art and the chain that he was rocking around his neck, in honor of his new establishment. Jackson also talks about the relaxing impact that surfing has on his mental state of mind when he wakes up early in the morning to catch a wave.

Later on in the discussion, Trevor Jackson started off by speaking about moving away from the Hollywood party lifestyle after showing up to the set hungover and realizing that "time is fleeting." Trevor then spoke about the negative effects of social media and how it affects mental health, which is why he wants to hire a team to take care of his social media for him. Moving along, Trevor spoke about his dreams to win 12 Grammys and 2 Oscars, which led to a conversation about artists boycotting the Grammys. Trevor also spoke about being part of the "Grown-ish" cast, which he admits has helped him to realize what it's like to be a Black man.
