Lavell Crawford on Will Smith: "If I Was Chris Rock I Would Have Put 9 In His A**"

Many have chimed in with their thoughts on Chris Rock getting slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars, with many comedians seemingly on edge about the repercussions of telling jokes that strike a chord with select people. Despite the controversy surrounding Rock’s joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith and the slap that followed, comedian Lavell Crawford took it upon himself to address the matter, saying what he would have done if he was in Chris Rock’s shoes. 

During a comedy set, Crawford came out to Will Smith’s “Gettin Jiggy Wit It” and then proceeded to go in on the Oscars slap for the next five minutes. After making a joke about Pinkett-Smith’s alopecia, he then questioned the couple’s relationship. Towards the end of his set, Crawford said he was tired of people saying Smith loved Jada based on his gesture, a thought he questioned. Crawford went on to say, “If I was Chris Rock, I would have put nine in his a**.” Take a look at his set above.
