Kim Kardashian previously faced backlash for comments she made about women in business during a Variety interview with her family. The viral comments she made found her offering advice to women, saying, “I have the best advice for women in business – get your f**king a** up and work! It seems like nobody wants to work these days. You have to surround yourself with people that want to work. Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do because you have one life.” Now, via an interview on ABC, Kardashian has apologized for her statement, saying she feels it was taken out of context. 

Kardashian was asked about her comments while on ‘Good Morning America’ and went on to say, “Well, that statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it.” She continued saying, “It became a sound bite really with no context. And that sound bite I came off the notion and the question right before which was after 20 years of being in the business, you're famous for being famous.” The ‘KUWTK’ star said her “whole tone and attitude changed with the previous question that went into that question about what advice [she] would give to women.”

Kardashian concluded by saying her comments weren’t “a blanket statement towards women, or to feel like I don't respect the work or think that they don't work hard.” Take a look above.

Kim Kardashian is facing backlash after an interview with Variety, where she shared advice for businesswomen. Kim stated, "I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f**king ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days." 

Kim also spoke about ignoring haters, stating, "Who gives a f–k. We focus on the positive. We work our asses off. If that’s what you think, then sorry. We just don’t have the energy for that. We don’t have to sing or dance or act; we get to live our lives — and hey, we made it. I don’t know what to tell you."

Kim's advice to working women went viral, as she was being slammed on social media for her tone-deaf comments. Many people pointed out that Kim was born into a luxurious life, as her father was a high-profile lawyer with many connections to celebrities, who often were around the Kardashian household as the kids were growing up.
