Bobby Shmurda has been out of prison for some time now and has been making moves for himself while getting reacquainted with the world. However, the rapper noted his music was being stalled due to issues with Epic Records. Shmurda previously expressed frustration with the label, saying he was trying to leave the label before he got locked up, and that he “made them more millions than they ever gave me!” Now, it appears Bobby’s wish has been granted, as the rapper revealed he is no longer with Epic Records. 

Bobby went on to sign a management deal with Roc Nation, which led him to express more thoughts on leaving Epic. In an IG story post, the rapper posted a photo of himself and said, “Attention!!!! To all Shmurda fans, aka the Shmurdas. I just signed my release papers also jus made ah milly today.” Bobby continued saying, “I can’t wait to drop s/o my n***a @Trulife ahh ahh ahh my n***a I’m shooting my 1st independence video today called Getting Em Back we celebrating all week in kods pop out nd Monday starlets.” Take a look above.

Bobby Shmurda recently took to social media to voice his frustrations with his record label in hopes of being released from his current contract. 

As fans continue to ask Bobby Shmurda about what's holding up his long-awaited debut album, he ensured them the higher-ups at Epic Records are holding things up. 

“I got a 70 year old lady running my label And I love her dearly but doesn’t want to let me go At allllllllllll no Matter what I do I’ve been Sign to them since was 19 I did six years in jail trying to get off this label before I came home,” he wrote. “You name one person in the industry a Lable keeps sign in jail for six years?????? yea Ik ik I made them more millions than they ever gave me!!! Just let me gooo.”

Bobby wrote further, “This is not a cry for help this is a message and understanding for my fans that they stopping my music and prolonging my career I been holding shit down doing everything on my own since I been home.”

“It’s been ah year now I still fee like I’m in prison and by the way the Album’s done ready to live pleaseeeeeeeee I need them to let me goooooooo!!! #FreeShmurda,” he concluded.
