According to the attorney of Justin Johnson, a murder suspect in the Young Dolph shooting, Johnson was attacked while in jail.

The suspect is facing many charges to go along with the first-degree murder charge for the death of Young Dolph. The attorney for the man says Johnson was attacked by another inmate in the Shelby County jail during a phone call. The suspect’s lawyer—June Ganguli, said Johnson was on the phone in the visitation area when an inmate pulled up and punched him. It was noted that Johnson didn’t suffer any severe injuries.

Johnson’s incident was confirmed by a representative for the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, saying there was an incident this past Friday. The incident involved Johnson and another inmate and is currently under investigation. This comes months later after Johnson claimed innocence despite being arrested by U.S. Marshals.
