Since being taken into custody to serve out a 150-day sentence, it was revealed by Jussie Smollett’s brother that he was placed in the psychiatric ward in the Chicago Cook County Jail. Now, Jocqui Smollett is saying Jussie is no longer in the psych ward.
In a video posted online, Jocqui delivered the update and noted the move stems from the pressure applied by the public. He said that the move would place him in a regular bed instead of a restrained one. “Cook County doesn't really move until they get bad publicity ... keep continuing to call Cook County Jail checking in on him and keep saying that you believe he should be free,” said Jussie’s brother. According to law enforcement sources, Jussie Smollett was put in the psych ward because high-profile inmates are usually placed there. Watch above.
