A 12-year-old boy has been charged with robbery, grand larceny, and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with a crime against Juli Boeheim, wife of Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim.
According to police reports, Juli Boeheim was allegedly robbed at gunpoint by the young assailant when he and two accompanying adults approached her while she was sitting in her car at a famous shopping center in New York. The 12-year-old reportedly reached into her vehicle to grab her purse before taking off in a stolen car with his accomplices.
Juli was taken back by the close call, but she was not physically injured in the incident, which occurred on March 1st. The 12-year-old boy's information will not be released publically because he is just a minor.
